Notvana - Nervermind

The Agrestic Grocer - 426 Mitchell Highway, Orange New South Wales, Australia

Making their Ruby Tuesday debut this week are two fresh faces bringing new energy to the Agrestic stage.

Lily Elliott steps up on guitar and vocals, joined by Jordan Cowley on bass – both appearing for the first time. Behind them, holding it all together, is Ruby regular Jacob Pickett on drums. You might remember Jacob from his dynamic performances covering Matchbox 20 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

And as we welcome new sounds to the Ruby stage, it feels fitting to look back on a moment that changed the sound of a generation.

Nirvana’s album Nevermind was released in 1991 as their second studio record. With new drummer Dave Grohl on board, the band shifted their focus toward more dynamic songwriting, exploring changes in tempo and intensity. Their debut album, Bleach (1989), was heavier, raw, and deeply rooted in grunge and metal influences. But Nevermind offered something broader – from explosive anthems to unexpectedly softer, more melodic moments.

Whether you're here to catch emerging talent or reconnect with iconic music history, Ruby Tuesday has something for you.

Live music is good for the soul.
