Live @ Agrestic - Jeff Lang
The Agrestic Grocer - 426 Mitchell Highway, Orange New South Wales, Australia
Melbourne guitar wizard and superlative songsmith Jeff Lang’s last visit to Central Western NSW was in that glorious time before the global pandemic struck. He’s very happy to be returning to the area for his first show at The Agrestic on Fri 22 March.
In the years since then, Jeff spent much of 2021 bravely persevering with 39 date national tour to promote the publication of his first book “Some Memories Never Die”. He managed to squeeze 28 of the shows around various lockdowns and all but one of the 11 remaining shows were rescheduled for further down the track.
Never one to stand still - even in the face of some of the longest lockdowns in the world in Melbourne - Jeff devised a new project at home with his partner Alison Ferrier. That project, High Ace, released their debut album in late 2022 and Jeff also introduced a new limited edition album of instrumental 12 string guitar music to his fans.
Jeff is currently in the throes of recording another extraordinary major release slated for launch later in 2024.
Always thirsty for new musical experiences, Jeff was recently a headline performer at the Rajasthan International Folk Festival in Jodhpur India, reuniting with his friends from his cross cultural album project Maru Tarang from 2015.
This intimate performance in Orange will display Jeff’s fire for a return to intimate solo performances, where the alchemy happens in presence of friends, and he will be cherry picking gems from across his 30+ year career – every night a new set, a new adventure and a new opportunity to carry the songs into unexpected places.
