Noiseworks and Electric Hippies’ founding member and producer, and Mi-Sex frontman – Steve Balbi – returns to the stage in 2024 to perform 3 exclusive and inherently intermate shows across Regional NSW in June – in Orange, Bathurst, and Newcastle.

Following Noiseworks sold out National and Red Hot Summer Tours earlier this year, Balbi has taken time in the studio to finish his forthcoming and third solo LP, his first since I Think I Know For Sure (2020), which is due for release on limited edition 12” vinyl this August.
As usual, the new record reflects a stylistic departure for Balbi, which has propelled the creative chameleon upon an entirely new trajectory. Celestial but gritty, distorted but beautiful, and daunting but heavenly, Balbi bends genres with this new record. Transcending his profound pop sensibility with doses of sticky-dark-disco, it’s a sensual, impossibly romantic journey that’s evocative and inspirational yet melancholic and intoxicating.

Appearing exclusively in Orange and Bathurst with Travis New (Andrew Farriss, Mi-Sex) on guitar, Balbi promises to deliver a taste of tunes from the new record, alongside an eclectic reimagination of his diverse catalogue of songs ‘n’ stories – from Noiseworks, Electric Hippies, Mi-Sex, Black Rainbow, I Think I Know For Sure, and more.
